Fr. Jordan J. Orbe, SJ celebrated his thanksgiving Mass at St. Michael’s Cathedral last April 23 with his six newly ordained Jesuit companions. Bishop Nitz Galido, Fr. Jose Magadia, the provincial superior of the Society of Jesus, other Jesuit priests and some clergy from the diocese of Iligan joined Fr. Jordan in the celebration of the Eucharist.
Fr. Jordy, as his friends and family fondly call him, is the 3rd son, in a brood of five, of Eufrasio and Remedios Orbe. He was born on February 15, 1974. He started his Kindergarten at St. Michael’s College and was transferred to La Salle Academy in Iligan City where he finished his High School as an honor student and with a ‘Gerry Roxas Leadership Award.’ He took up Broadcast Communications at the University of the Philippines in Diliman and worked at an Advertising Company for more than a year before he entered the religious life. He was ordained priest in the Society of Jesus on April 14, 2012.
